Web design is more than just creating web pages or graphics. I specialize in UX/UI (user experience and user interface) and my process keeps design in mind from start to finish. If we work together, we'll walk through how to best tell your story, then create a design that's uniquely "you".
Development is one of the most import parts of building a functional website. Wix, Squarespace, or Webflow are great options for static (marketing) sites if you can optimize them correctly, but if needed I can build custom sites as well. I got my start in development, then stacked design skills on top. So, whether I'm coding or using a builder I understand what's going on under the hood.
Think of the top two home improvement stores. Most likely, two companies come to your mind immediately. This same exercise works across most industries. When providing a product or service, a company needs a clear vision of what they want their customers to feel when thinking about them. I can use subtle tested methods such as color and typography to give your target audience a feeling for who you are before ever talking to them.
Hosting is a requirement for anything that exists on the web. The best way to explain it is you pay someone to use their server space to hold the files that you've created. As long as you continue to pay them monthly, they keep your files deployed. Maintenance is a little different. There are many developers who build a website, hand it off to the client, and walk away. I recommend to my clients to keep their sites secure and up to date with regular maintenance and open communication.
